Come December 25 and members of Bondhu Mahal start craving for picnic. For the last three years Bondhu Mahal was organizing picnic in Kukrail, the reserve forest area, at the northern outskirt of Lucknow. This time the members decided to change the venue.

But what it could be! It should be the place which is not very far off and two the place should have clean rest room and toilets. Why not Musabagh, a historical place at the Southern outskirt of Lucknow? Google Baba was put to test to locate the place. Then – a three member team went to recce the place and gave a thumps up.

The forest guest house was booked – thanks to Sharmila Krishna and on the D-day the members of Bondhu Mahal trouped in. Some lost the way but at last all of them – 64 heads in total  – reached there.  

Everyone had a blast. After breakfast of gobhi , onion pakoras, bread pakora and steaming cha it was the time for fun and frolic. While Sen Da and Chandan were busy in cooking lunch others took part in sports. The young ones played cricket, women played spoon race and took part in putting the ball completion.

The highlight was a cricket match between juniors and seniors and I need not say who won.  

The lunch was sumptuous when members gorged on mutton, matar paneer, gobhi ki sabzi, poori, rice and desert in form of gulab jamun.  

In the evening we had a general body meeting and ended the day with pastry and a cup of tea.

What a day it was!
