Continuing with its social commitment Bondhu Mahal sponsored education of 35 poor girls of Anglo Bengali Boys’ Inter College. Senior IAS officer Parthasarathi Sensharma handed over the fee cheque of 33 students to principal Boys’ Anglo Bengali Inter College A.K. Kirti while two students Archita and Shivani received the cheque in person.

“The theme of our Durga Puja was to educate girl child. We went a step forward and decided to finance education of 35 girl students who have dropped out because their parents were not able to pay their fees,” R.G. Pramanik, president Bondhu Mahal Durga Puja Committee said.

Last year Bondhu Mahal had sponsored education of 22 students.

Principal of Bengali Inter College Kirti said that Bondhu Mahal has shown path for other Durga Puja Committees. If all committees adopt a school and finance education of needy from their Puja funds it would transform lives of poor students.

Inspired by theme of Bondhu Mahal Devesh Dixit, founder manager of Deeksha Coaching Institute in Bhootnath has declared free coaching for poor students.
