Bondhu Mahal organised a bhandara at Puja Park, Bhootnath Market, Indira Nagar, on Tuesday (June 3) on the occasion of third Bara Mangal.

Devotees started pouring in at bhandara venue from around 11 in morning, and as the day progressed thousands of them had enjoyed chhola-chawal and bati-chokha. Local Gupta Tea Stall sponsored bati-chokha, a delicacy of eastern UP. It was a super-duper hit. People lined up to have bati-chokha, which Gupta ji’s whole family made painstakingly.

It was probably for the first time any stall distributed bati-chokha during Bada Mangal. So, Bondhu Mahal did a beginning on this count too. Thank you Gupta ji for coming up with the innovative idea.   
 
The atmosphere at the venue was reverberated with Hanuman Chalisa, bhajans and other religious songs played throughout the day. There was enthusiasm all around. Braving heat and humidity, office-bearers and volunteers of Bondhu Mahal, including women and children, contributed to the success of the programme.

Practically it was women who stole the thunder. They single-handidly distributed bhog. Thanks to the women force in Bondhu Mahal – you rock.
