BM Sponspors Students' Education, Honours Teachers

Bondhu Mahal did it again – this year too our club sponsored education of poor children from the money it saved from Durga Puja. But it did not end here – we even felicitated 10 teachers of government schools who have excelled in their fields. Medical Education Minister Ashutosh Tandon `Gopal’ was the chief guest while Corporator of the area Dilip Srivastava was the guest of honour.

Tandon handed over the cheque of fee sponsorship to Principal of the Boys’ Anglo Bengali Inter College A.K. Kirti and later felicitated teachers by giving them memento and shawl.

What Tandon ji said cements our belief. He said: “All Durga Puja Committees should take a leaf out of Bondhu Mahal’s endeavour and support education of poor children from the savings they make.”

This statement is the BIGGEST statement of our achievement. He recognized our work and goaded other to replicate Bondhu Mahal’s efforts.

The Club honoured 10 teachere that include: Priyanka Shukla, Lalli Singh, Purnima Srivastava, Anisha Dixit, Sangeeta Rai, Rachna Mehdiratta, Punam Gautam, Amita Verma, Rita Yadav, and Vandana Gupta.
